On December 30, 2020, MCAT Detectives obtained a Superior Court Search Warrant stemming from an ongoing drug sales investigation. MCAT Detectives along with Arizona Department of Public Safety Troopers and Detectives executed the search warrant at a residence on the 2000 block of Woods Drive in Heber, AZ.
During the search, four individuals were detained, one being released from the scene with no involvement. After processing the scene, Detectives collected approximately 14 ounces of pre-packaged Methamphetamine labeled for sale, a large sum of US Currency, 6 firearms and a large amount of miscellaneous prescription medication that were not prescribed to any of the suspects.



David Carnes (64 YOA) of Heber was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Jail for Misconduct involving Weapons, Transportation/Sales of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Money Laundering.
Gale Hemphill-Krebs (70 YOA) of Heber was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Jail for Misconduct involving Weapons, Transportation/Sale of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Money Laundering.
Vickey Ray (56 YOA) of Heber was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Jail for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Sheriff Clouse stated, “The work the MCAT Detectives and Navajo County Sheriff’s Deputies are doing in the Heber/Overgaard community is outstanding. During the past month MCAT Detectives and Deputies have executed two residential search warrants, following drug sales investigations, that have led to the arrest of 6 suspects, 14 ounces of Methamphetamine, 18.5 Fentanyl pills, 9 weapons and 2 stolen vehicles. These investigations will continue until the drug dealers are either all incarcerated or flee the area.”
